Title: Finance Analyst

Location:
Milton Keynes MK9 (however will need to travel to Yorkshire at least 1 week a month - expenses supported)

Reporting to: Commercial Finance Director

Salary:
£30,000-£35,000 pa

The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership.

Key Role

Responsibilities:

• Analysing overheads to budgets/forecasts and reviewing variances with members of the Exec team

• Tracking and analysing strategic project costs and CAPEX

• Producing analysis on customer profitability

• Involvement in month end process including assisting with the preparation of monthly CFO report and data pack

• Head count and cost centre reporting

• Involvement in budgeting and forecasting processes

• Assisting In preparing PowerPoint presentations

• Supporting the commercial finance team with other project work

Person Specification:

• Experience of working in business finance

• Excellent Excel Skills and experience in financial modelling

• Good knowledge of Powerpoint

• Knowledge of Power BI useful but not essential

• Attention to accuracy and detail essential

• Ability to interpret financial data and relate it back to non-financial colleagues

• Self-starter with drive and commitment, independent worker with ability to learn quickly
