Are you an experienced Payroll Processor looking for a rewarding role in a growing firm that can offer a genuine work life balance?

Due to continued double digit growth, Price Bailey, a Times Top 100 employer and Top 30 UK Practice, are currently recruiting for a Payroll Processor in Cambridge. With 10 offices across the UK as well as a growing international presence, it really is a fantastic time to join the team. Here at Price Bailey, our people and culture are at the heart of everything we do. We pride ourselves in the value we add not only to our clients but also the local community too.

Our well established Payroll team in Norwich is continually expanding and as such, we are looking to add another person to the team. Focusing on the accurate and efficient processing of client payrolls, this role will enable you to build genuine relationships with clients and to broaden your technical expertise simultaneously. Although prior experience in payroll is beneficial, please don't be put off if you're looking for your first step on the payroll ladder as we are open to considering raw trainees too.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking a range of computerised and manual payroll processing assignments from start to finish on Star
  • Ensuring excellent customer service, helping to develop and maintain client relationships and reinforce the premium payroll service we provide.
  • To actively provide a first point of contact for clients
  • Process Payroll End of Year Returns
  • Assist with queries from clients and internally within the team
  • Reconcile and resolve any issues with reference to both the client and to colleagues
  • Control the assignment and record the time spent on tasks accurately and in accordance with the Price Bailey client time recording system
  • Assist with payroll processing from other team members allocations
  • Effectively manage own time on assignments

An ideal background for this role would be someone who is already in a payroll position, ideally dealing with external clients as opposed to in-house. That being said, we are keen to consider people from all backgrounds, providing you have the relevant transferrable skill set. Strong attention to detail and communication skills are an absolute must due to the nature of the role and prior experience with Star or Sage would be a bonus. Most importantly though, we are looking for someone who mirrors our ethos of excellence and constant desire to improve.

Our benefits include:

  • Smart Working (see https://www.pricebailey.co.uk/careers-2/working-price-bailey/ for further details)
  • 25 days Holiday (ability to purchase up to 5 extra days annually under our flexible benefits scheme)
  • 4x salary Life Assurance
  • Contributory Pension Scheme
  • Retail Discounts as part of UK 200 Group

If this sounds like the role for you then we would love to hear from you, equally should you wish to gain any more information then please speak to Lewis Bailey, Recruitment Manager.
