Position Purpose / Objective

As a highly experienced finance manager/controller you will manage the compliance and day to day financial activities for the organisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES - HIGH PRIORITY/KPI's

• Lead and manage the accounting/finance team
• Responsible for consolidating the Group Financial Activities
• Be a member of the Management team
• Provide meaningful input at Management Meetings
• Timely preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
• Liaise with auditors, including getting 'audits packs' ready in advance of the arrival of the audit teams
• Management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Management of Payroll
• Strong understanding of forecasting - Profit and Loss Account and Cash Flow
• Strong IT skills including MS Excel, Sage and Accounting systems
• Ensure financial controls effectively operate across the business
• Implement procedural controls for all transactions
• Oversee business month end procedures, including performing detailed reviews of Profit and Loss account and Balance Sheet
• Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and procedures
• Work closely with the Sales Director and MD to ensure strategic alignment

Key selection criteria

• Chartered Accounting qualification is beneficial but not a necessity.
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be hands on and operational.
• Strong communicator
• Skilled in analysing data and preparing reports
• Up to date knowledge of local tax compliance laws and regulations
• Able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
• Identify areas for improvement and be a driver of change
• Able to work unsupervised
