Management Accountant

Your new company
A successful and privately owned group near Colchester Essex are, due to business growth, looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join one of their market leading businesses. The Management Accountant will report into the Head of Finance, work closely with the business stake holders and be part of a small highly effective finance team.


Your new role
Reporting into the Head of Finance the Management Accountant will be responsible for:

• Production of the monthly management accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Fixed Assets
• Assist with the statutory reporting and year end
• VAT returns
• Assist with the cashflow forecasting
• Manage costing models to analyse actual labour, material and overhead costs against standard\budget and explain variances.
• To prepare monthly gross margin analysis by product group by customer.
• Assist with new-product cost estimates and for providing recommendations for cost efficiency in any new-product designs.
• Produce a monthly valuation of work in progress and stock.
• To provide finance support to Manufacturing Manager, Sales and Marketing.
• Assist with continued process improvement
• Work on special projects as required

What you'll need to succeed
The Management Accountant will have good understanding and experience of monthly management accounting
Have strong analysis and IT skills with the ability to produce high quality reports.
Be inquisitive, a good problem solver and a confident communicator able to liaise at all levels.
The Management Accountant will be a team player, keen to develop their skills and add value to a business
