The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position will be supporting the Finance team based in Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the full spectrum of finance functions of a shopping mall in accordance with statutory requirements, company policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve AR & GL transactions, audit schedules and various reconciliations.
  • Preparation of cash flow projections, historical cash flow, preparation and reviewing of quarterly reports, drafting of audited financial statements, and preparing of corporate tax information.
  • Timely preparation and accurate reporting of financial matters / results and management reports, analysis of results, forecast and budgeting, SST reporting, arrears management as well as credit review of vendors.
  • Assist in other ad-hoc assignments as required (i.e. tax audit, etc.), including IFCA system enhancements.
  • Liaison with the Head Office Group Reporting team, Business Unit head and banks on banking / treasury / financing matters and auditors and tax consultants on audit and taxation matters.
  • Assist in implementation of improvements to finance policies, internal controls, systems and processes.

  • Job Requirements
  • Possess a Degree in Accountancy / ACCA or its equivalent.
  • At least 7 years of accounting experience and 5 years of supervisory skill.
  • Meticulous, analytical, responsible and diligent. You should possess excellent time management, positive working attitude, good communication skills and a high level of initiative.
  • Must be hands-on and able to deliver quality work within stipulated timeline. Other attributes includes being organized and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work well in a team and be able to deliver quality work within stipulated timeline.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, MS Advance excel, MS Powerpoint, Malaysia FRS, Companies Act and other accounting regulatory requirements is a pre-requisite.
  • Candidates with prior IFCA, BPC and real estate knowledge and experience in audit firm will have an added advantage.
