Head of Financial Transformation - Public Sector

Exciting opportunity within the public sector for a Head of Financial Services in Sheffield.

I'm delighted to be supporting a leading public sector organisation based in Sheffield who are seeking an individual to join them on a permanent basis to lead on the continuation and ongoing development of a number of transformation projects.

Your new role
Upon appointment, you will confidently appraise opportunities, making recommendations which will advance operations of the organisation, releasing clear, tangible benefits from the outset.

This role will involve exposure to key senior stakeholders within the organisation, leading change within finance functions. As part of the position, you will diagnose issues, recommend solutions and deliver these within the agreed time frame of transformation, whilst providing a clear blueprint of activities both in the short and long term.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong background of working at a senior level in complex organisations and environments, with demonstrable experience of leading the development of new transactional finance and business systems and enhancing processes.

Previous experience of motivating and developing staff, with proven communication and influencing skills would also be of distinct benefit in this position, which will enable you to lead successful multiple, inter-connected projects.

Excellent team working abilities coupled with a background of overseeing system and process development is essential, so as to ensure the release of modernisation and efficiency opportunities across the organisation.

What you'll get in return
As this role is working for a public sector organisation, the salary for this role is banded at a fixed level between c.£53,000 and £62,000 per annum, accompanied by a strong benefits package.
