Duties &

Responsibilities:

• This is a split role working on 60% accounts and 40% audit
• Planning, supervising, and carrying out audits with high turnover, with minimal supervision, and ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
• Supervision and assisting junior staff with technical accounting and auditing problems
• Preparation of draft corporation tax computations
• Preparation of draft statutory and consolidated accounts under FRS102, FRS105, and IFRS
• Preparing responses for group reporting for clients
• Larger accounts preparation jobs for audit exempt clients

The Ideal Candidate:

• ACA / ACCA qualified accountant
• Minimum 4 years experience in an audit focused role within an accountancy practice
• Experience of leading external audit assignments
• Experience of preparing accounts in accordance with UK GAAP
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with accounts software e.g. Iris, Sage, QuickBooks, Xeroetc.
