The Financial Controller role will have direct exposure to the Board of Directors and also regular exposure to funders and a Private Equity investor, which presents exciting development and progression opportunities for the right candidate. You'll enjoy a varied, hands on role within a busy working environment.

What will this role entail?

Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, initially your duties will be focused on:

• Managing the Finance Team, taking a lead in people and professional development, whilst promoting a culture of strong performance
• Delivery of monthly management accounts and managing cash flow
• Delivery of audit and supporting tax calculations
• Processing of tax calculations and management to include VAT/ PAYE and corporation tax
• Supporting the CFO with forecasting and investment analysis
• Supporting the CFO with compliance and governance
• Maintaining accurate and up to date account records and spreadsheets
• Overseeing the day to day operations of the Finance Department, including the accounting operations of subsidiaries
• Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers and fellow team members
• Personal development of other team members

What will I need to be considered for this Financial Controller vacancy?

• Be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience within a similar role, encompassing both day to day reporting, delivery of audit and forecasting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with ideally some experience in financial modelling and reporting
• Be driven and commercially focused with high levels of integrity
• Can-do attitude, proactive approach
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure whilst preserving attention to detail

What will I receive in return?

As the Financial Controller, you'll receive a base salary in the region of £40,000 to £45,000 with the level dependent on experience and qualifications, and you will have scope for your salary to increase as you progress within the role.

You'll be employed on a permanent contract, with base hours Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm, with infrequent flexibility and weekend work required to accommodate business needs.

Location:
Llanrwst (Conwy, North Wales), with occasional travel required to our Zip World sites.
