Tax Opportunity - Oil & Gas Hutcheon Mearns are partnered with an upstream oil and gas E&P company to source a Tax Analyst for their UK business on a contract basis. This is a diverse and broad role which will see you providing a comprehensive range of taxation services to a portfolio of upstream E&P assets. Key
responsibilities:
Preparation and submission of PRT, Corporation Tax and VAT returns Calculation of UK tax payments and receipts Assist with all HMRC tax enquiries and correspondence Preparation of tax reporting computations for management accounts Preparation of UK tax provisions and disclosure for group accounts Assist in the preparation of deferred tax and long term economic models Support Tax Manager with advisory projects across the wider business Review and monitor underlying financial and tax systems and processes, identifying improvements The successful candidate will be CTA or CA qualified and have a background in the Big 4 with experience in servicing upstream E&P clients or have worked in house in a UK tax role. Ideally you will have specialist professional knowledge in the UK oil and gas tax regime, in particular ring fence CT and SCT compliance and accounting. Furthermore, you will be a proactive person with the ability to work independently and the confidence to communicate with people across the business.
