Job scope

The Industrial Controller is responsible for the controlling and reporting of the manufacturing of the Site. They will also improve productivity and working together with the Industrial Operational Managers to reach the Site goals and bring in new ideas. Actively promote the constant improvement of the Bills of Material.

Main Responsibilities

* Analyse and report on all production variances up to the gross margin including Works Order Variances, Purchase Price Variances, Absorption Volume Variances etc.;

* Analyse, report on production variances and proactively work with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to promote the constant improvement of the Bill of Materials and Routings in order to obtain accurate standards year after year;

* Provide costing information and propose mitigation actions if needed to support discussions and decision making at management level;

* Critically analyse and report all inventory movements and provisions, including spoilage and obsolescence. Proactively interact with Manufacturing in order to understand and reduce further spoilage. Responsible for managing the stock take process;

* Analyse and report on Tangible and Intangible Asset additions, disposals and depreciation;

* Perform monthly settlement for the closing and inventory revaluation using FIFO method;

* Assist with the analysis of Operating Expenses;

* Perform, control and report on the annual revision of Standard Costs.

* Actively promote the constant improvement of the Bills of Material in order to obtain more accurate standards year after year;

* Support the Finance Manager by completing various ad hoc tasks to improve the reporting of the Finance function;

* Assist in any internal/external audits;

* Approach the role in a flexible manner, and be prepared to adapt to requirements outside of the immediate role that are essential to the organisation;

* Actively support the accounting team in the month-end reporting process to meet tight deadlines

* Act as a business partner to operations managers in order to reach the site goals;

* Analyse quantitative and qualitative data on performance against budgets/targets highlighting discrepancies and risks and opportunities;

* Heavy involvement in the annual budget process;

* Coordinate regular CAPEX reviews with the Operations teams

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; Ideally, finalist or qualified with a Professional qualification from a recognised accountancy body (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA);

* Specialization: Finance or Economics

Experience:

Five to eight years' experience with background in Management Accounting and Manufacturing;

Technical Competencies: Excellent working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office, in particular Excel;

Soft Skills:

* Must have strong analytical skills and great attention to detail;

* Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with strong problem solving abilities;

* Ability to use initiative and work under pressure to meet deadlines Languages: English
