About the
role
You will be part of the finance team that will drive the entire site accounting function. Having a precise financial reporting acumen is a prerequisite but providing strategic planning and presenting analysis would be key in excelling in this position. Good eye in best practices sharing in view to achieve Contract Gross Margin and spend within budget for the Malaysia site.
Financial Acumen
Holds the pen on ensuring all finances are properly administered and monitored, including credit controls whilst maintaining the appropriate financial regulations at all times. Able to prepare and review detailed budgets including forecasts by using accurate accrual accounting.
Detail Oriented
Able to analyse financial performance against key business metrics and documents pertinent to financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against current budgets. Must practise strong interaction with other teams in Finance to determine appropriate treatment of transactions and investment earnings.
Team work & Leadership
You will work with a motivated team and will be required to coach, train, supervise and manage a team of employees in the department. Your role will allow you to interact with third-party service providers, including external accounting, tax and legal advisors.
Tech Savvy
You will be leading the team in planning and implementing technology solutions for bookkeeping and reporting requirements. Rewrite the rulebooks on what defines efficiency! Examine if long-standing practices are legacy-ones and harmful to the work process or can be polished and improved to increase productivity.
