An exciting Accountant job has just become available at one of the most prestigious companies in the heart of the city with accessible public transport. Your main responsibility will be to support a large, complex business unit with a regional unit.

About the Accountant Role:
In this role, you will work with the assigned business entities within the Shared Service Centre to ensure timeliness, completeness and accuracy of the full set of accounts. This includes review of inputs from other processes that impact the GL. You will also be responsible for the statutory compliance of the legal entity in respect of GST, direct and indirect tax returns, accounts filings, AGMs, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain company full set of accounts in a timely, complete and accurate manner

Review work of external service providers, for example payroll vendors, tax agents , company secretary and auditors

Maintain complete and accurate record of fixed assets and inventory

Ensure all provisions, prepayments and accruals are accurately calculated and recorded on a monthly basis. This includes regular review of balance sheet items

Comply with group reporting deadlines

Prepare GST/VAT and all other tax returns

Perform monthly financial analysis for reporting packs, this includes ad hoc financial analysis as requested

Prepare annual audited accounts for the legal entity

Prepare monthly inter company reconciliation

Prepare annual tax computation, deferred tax computation

Perform balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation

Compliance with group and company internal controls, policies and procedures

Compliance with all applicable accounting standards

To succeed in this Accountant role, you must have a minimum of five years' work experience with three years in audit.

Key Requirements:

Experience with ERP system is essential

Proficiency using Microsoft Excel/google sheet is preferred

Familiar with IFRS standard

Independent, hands-on, with good organisational and problem-solving skills

Technically sound in accounting

Strong analytical skills

Good leadership qualities, results-oriented and a can-do attitude

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Good command of English
