A world-leading FMCG retailer has made available a Finance Manager job in Malaysia. In this job, you will lead a team and be responsible for all finance-related functions.

About the Finance Manager Role:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead all accounting activities and manage teams across Malaysia. As the Finance Manager, you will be in charge of working on the reporting standards and data gathered.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operation of the Accounting and Finance team and ensuring compliance to finance and accounting policies

Provide Financial Planning and Analysis to support management decisions

Provide input on the P&L budget and forecast received from Retail and constantly identify financial risk and opportunities

Partner with the Retail Operations Leaders and work closely with other Financial Planning and Business Finance team

Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate reporting to management

Create standardised reports that provide accurate and timely data to the business including up-to-date information regarding actual versus forecasted performance highlighting sales, gross margin by store and product category

Actively manage training, development and performance of staff. Provide counselling and mentoring to increase performance to achieve department and organisational objectives

Collaborate with teams to maintain current standard operating procedures (SOP) manual for key financial processes

To succeed in the Finance Manager role, you will need to have the ability to lead effectively and posses a keen understanding of finance and accounting.

Key Requirements:

Degree in Finance or Accounting. ACCA, MIA, CPA, MICPA, ICAEW and etc will be an added advantage

Experience working on an operational and strategic level
