Resourcery Group are working in partnership with an entrepreneurial manufacturing SME (£12m) to recruit an experienced Site Finance Manager to support a hands-on Finance Director.

The business is a sub-£20m turnover specialist manufacturing business run by and experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Leadership Team. The business is looking to double turnover and profitability in the next 3 years and as such the opportunity has arisen to appoint a number 2 to the Finance Director as Finance Manager. Based within a commutable distance from the likes of Liverpool, Runcorn, Warrington, Widnes, Wigan, Chester the business is ideally situated geographically.

The Finance Director is looking for a blend of financial and managerial experience, together with the enthusiasm and the personality/confidence to drive change and challenge across a broad range of stakeholders. The demands on the FDs time mean that suitable applicants should be able to get 'on the job' experience of managing people/processes/systems/projects/business change independently.

You will be experienced at managing change in businesses; possess the intellect to solve problems without there only being one answer; find ways of working with diverse personalities and mindsets; possess the drive and interest in leading the team to make change happen; possess a strong process/controls approach to finance and business to driving no-finance managers to work the 'right way' for the business i.e. efficient, transparent, consistent, timely, risk-managed.

The role is an expansive one and a role that would suit an experienced Site Finance Manager or hands-on Site Financial Controller capable for working in a small team of highly capable individuals with the capacity and confidence to work autonomously. The Finance Manager will be a key member of the Management Team, taking ownership and responsibility for the core manufacturing business activities. You will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the finance function from financial control, financial reporting, statutory accounting, year end close, monthly management accounting, budget and forecasting to acting as a true operational business partner driving operational performance improvement.

Applicants to the role of Financial Controller will be:

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified (ideally)
• Pssess prior ERP implementation/upgrade experience.
• Possess manufacturing, engineering, FMCG, automotive experience working in a hands-on role,
• Possess experience working in an autonomous role with strong P&L and BS control experience,
• Be capable of influencing outside finance in an entrepreneurial environment,
• Be capable of managing a small team.
