Prudential Risk Analyst
Cambridge, Head Office
We have an exciting role opening as a Prudential Risk Analyst in our Risk Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual, ideally with excel modelling experience to make a difference in a forward thinking, digital focused organisation. Ideally you will have an interest in working within the financial sector and you will work closely with the Prudential Risk Manager who will support you in this role. This is a great way to deliver important initiatives in a highly regarded Cambridge organisation!
Salary and working hours
£25,000.00 per annum
Monday to Friday (36.25 hours per week)
What you'll be doing day-to-day?
Keeping the Risk Management Framework up to date and agreeing ratings with management and Executive.
Prepare risk reporting for Committees, maintain the risk register and provide advice on risk management to colleagues
Complete second line of defence reviews on regulatory reporting, providing feedback and reporting on key weaknesses and controls issues
Carry out robust, well written, accurate analysis as requested and develop ideas for other areas of further analysis
Run second line of defence model governance reviews, maintain the model governance policy, report to relevant committees and maintain personal technical expertise on model governance matters
Ensure that regulatory changes are monitored, tracked and embedded in an effective manner
Maintain and develop professional knowledge, including up to date knowledge of PRA handbook
You will be someone who has:
An understanding of risk management in a financial services institution
Excellent analytical and data analysis capability
A can-do attitude, self-organised, decisive and can work to tight deadlines
Experience with report writing and Microsoft Office applications
The ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders
A relevant qualification or proven industry experience
Knowledge of UK regulatory regime
