Client:
We are currently working exclusively with a Local Authortiy in the North West to recruit a Finance Manager on an interim basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for their next challenge within the Public Sector. The role will be initially for a 3 - 6 month basis, with a strong possibility of extension.
Role:
You will be responsible for business partnering with the external partners and will be working closely with the Adult Social Care Team to curate an effective and reliable financial management function
Duties will include;
* Assist in the development and strategic growth within the institution
* Liaise and consult on financial issues with external stakeholders, senior members of the institution and fellow members of the team
* Lead a finance team within Adult Social Care of direct reports and be responsible for the development of their skillset
* Lead and manage on all S75 related issues
* Support the annual budgeting and setting of accounts and monitoring these processes
* Prepare business plans and financial forecasts for the wider company
Person:
* Qualified accountant (CIPFA/CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
* Experience of supervising a team
* Have the gravitas and communication skills to be part of change within the organisation
* Experience within Local Government and with S75
* Be available on short notice or immediately
