A fantastic new opportunity has arisen within a global technology centre focussing on New Energy solutions for a Senior Project Controller.
Recognised as a world leader in the area of handling equipment, our client is seeking a Senior Project Controller.
This position will liaise with project leaders ensuring proper performance of project controlling activities. You will lead and be held accountable for supporting multiple projects/programmes within the company portfolio whilst influencing and driving continuous improvement. This post will ensure project delivery, cost and time are kept in line with customer deliverables and business financial standards and procedures.
Role:
* Provide support to Project Managers in the financial aspects of the project management (i.e. revenue recognition, invoicing, cash, change management, schedule) including monthly reporting for all projects.
* Provide support to Function Directors in the budget controlling, forecasting, reporting and pricing
* Prepare functional reporting of project status, budgets, forecasts, KPI's and any ad-hoc analysis required
* Report and discuss external reporting with customers alongside the project teams
* Review ETCs, EACs and other inputs with budget holders and submit updated forecasts to financial system.
* Coordinate actions with the finance team related to reporting, invoicing, cash, suppliers, export control, and other project related activities
* Responsible for schedule management and earned value management and cost management across the project portfolio.
* Carry out Cost Risk Analysis on schedules as required within assigned projects.
* Assist legal and sales with contracting with suppliers, clients, or service providers.
* Establish and maintain internal control according to the company's financial governance processes
* Lead project control process improvements

To be successful in your application for the role of Senior Project Controller, you should:
* Have a Business Management or Quantity Surveying degree or similar. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
* Have a professional Qualification in relevant discipline.
* Have an excellent understanding of a project lifecycle including project management, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
* Have experience of providing a range of project control services including establishing systems, implementing planning controls, scheduling and prioritisation, monitoring and reporting and dashboard reporting
* Be able to build relationships with others in your office and at other locations including clients and suppliers.
* Set an example in terms of offering to support others around you.
* Have several years' experience in a Project Controls role.
* Have experience of a project led organisation.
* Experience of working in an engineering environment.
* Have good experience of man management skills and effective communication.
* Have an excellent commercial awareness related to projects and suppliers.
* Demonstrate excellent technical competence in project controls along with a track record of delivering engineering or construction projects.
* Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
This position is based in Oxfordshire, and is easily accessible from Oxford, Newbury, Didcot, Harwell etc.
