Job Title:
Management and Financial Accountant

Reporting to: Head of Reporting & Consolidations



Salary:
£55,000 - £60,000

Job type: 12 Month FTC (with strong possibility of permanency)


Our client is a multinational Oil and Gas group headquartered in London with a global presence in over 20 countries across 6 continents. With wider group turnover in excess of $10bn and over 5,000 employees in the UK alone, our client offers great career progression prospects.

Due to their rapid growth, our client has created a group reporting function that is now based at their corporate office in the heart of Central London. This small team is driving change and improvements within the corporate finance process, systems and standards.

Key

Responsibilities:


• Producing monthly and quarterly management and financial reports with variance analysis for multiple SPV entities (treasury, tax, shared service functions, cash pool entities e.t.c)


• Reviewing trial balances prior to accounts consolidation


• Responsible for preparing audited accounts at the year-end.


• Responsible for timely completion of year-end audit process.


• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns


• Supervision of AP function


• Intercompany recharges


• Carrying out income reconciliations and sample checks of the financial reports


• Supporting the preparation of the accounts for the annual audit and financial report


• Supporting and coordinating the financial budgeting and reporting process


• Assisting with general administrative support and various queries

Essential Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Attributes and Key Relationships:


Skills:


• Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) - 3-5 years post-qualification experience.


• Experience with Accounts Payable, VAT Returns and Budgeting


• Experience with inter-company allocation/recharging mechanisms


• Experience of using an ERP system (Tally or equivalent) and assisting with project implementations.


• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.


• Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.


• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Group Financial Reporting team / accounting and reporting teams in business divisions.
