Harmonic are proud to be recruiting for one of the fastest growing business in the music industry, which has exciting plans to scale in the future. They are a niche music technology business who are currently on an exponential growth journey (Turnover circa $600 million). The business are looking for a highly organised individual with a passion for music and finance.
The workplace is based in Central London and is well-known for having a fun-loving and sociable team. You will be joining a team which is tight-knit and has a family feel. The business is renowned for investing in their staff and helping them develop professionally.
The Role:
The Financial Controller will have a broad exposure to different areas of finance. You will be reporting into the CFO, who has an excellent track record of helping colleagues with their professional development. As the Financial Controller you will assist them with the management of the finance function. This presents a great opportunity to work for a fast-growth business, where you will have the autonomy to develop your own team.
The Duties:
The duties will include but not be limited to:
* Management of a junior member of staff
* Assisting with the preparation of financial statement and providing relevant analysis
* Supporting the CFO with preparing Board Packs
* Ensuring multicurrency sales invoices are accurate (including Royalties & Advances)
* Preparing VAT returns
* Ad-hoc duties
What we need to see (essential):
* CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified
* A passion for music!
* Experience in the creative industries
* Strong and confident communication skills.
* Highly ambitious and driven.
* Experience in a fast-moving environment.
What we'd like to see (bonus):
* Experience within royalties (publishing/media/music - highly preferred)
* Strong Excel skills
* Managerial experience


Salary:
£60,000 - £70,000
