Job Description :
The Financial Analyst will partner with the Global Finance team (based in the US and Europe) to support various analytical, planning and reporting needs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced business at Amazon. The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage the financial responsibilities of a high-growth business.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in cross-functional teams, and demonstrate strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate must have superior attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. This role supports accounting function related to Contracogs audit, reconciliation, raising claims, identifying gaps in the process and taking it to closure. Also includes close process and accounting. As Amazon has been growing rapidly Year-over-Year, this position will also help drive process changes and improvements to support the growing needs of the Company. This role will include dive deep into vendor contracts, data mining to identify the missing contracogs billing and recovering through post audit.

Successful candidates for this position will have the demonstrable experience with financial processes, project management, accounting requirements documentation, process design, and user acceptance testing responsibilities. This position is expected to have a strong sense of ownership, ability to identify process improvement opportunities, drive positive change across the organization, and enhance partnerships between Accounting and various business and IT groups.
This position will work in a fast-paced environment, manage through ambiguity and complexity and support multiple, simultaneous project launches impacting the global accounting organization. This position is also expected to have sufficient finance experience to help the project launch team identify and incorporate the necessary financial reporting and internal control elements into the systems or tools that are developed to support new business activities. Employees in this role are expected to have excellent communication and organization skills and be able to anticipate, identify and communicate risks to accounting, finance, business and IT leadership.

- Perform financial reporting and support monthly P&L analysis and financial forecasts
- Developing and reporting on financial and operational performance metrics
- Support in monthly/quarterly financial closing activity in close co-ordination with business and accounting teams
- Assist in Measuring and reporting progress on key goals for the business team in a timely manner
- Provide inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews in a timely manner. Facilitate the business reviews with data analysis and follow through with business leaders on actionable items for improving business metrics over a period of time
- Long and short term financial planning
- Perform ad-hoc business analyses, and financial modeling. Present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions, and planned future initiatives
- Perform headcount planning and forecasting
- Partnering with various accounting and finance vertical (Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable) to ensure procedures and controls are routinely applied whist performing accounting and operation.
- Execute and drive KPI metrics for business and operation performance
- Demonstrate appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, and apply them
- Ensure appropriate financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place, documented, and operating as intended.
- Participate in recruiting efforts. Continually raises the bar
- Responsible to frame and deliver team objectives.
- Drive process improvements required to enhance controls.

- Actively participate in strategic initiatives and special projects when assigned or required.

Job responsibilities will include:
Work independently to develop and provide financial accounting requirements to support and assist Amazon's business teams with the design of new products or offerings and set-up of financial systems to ensure appropriate business support and controllership.
Provide project task and issue management, working cross functionally to transition new processes and/or permanent solutions to support month-end general ledger close activities, monthly account reconciliations and reviews, and preparation of various deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting needs.

- Takes ownership and dives deep with excellent data mining skills to root cause to issues and support the business through regular interaction to CCogs tech team to fix the issues.
- Responsible for ensuring the successful identification, audit of contracogs claims
- Prepares and review all claim types and reconcile with the financial books
- Daily, Weekly and Monthly reporting activities
- Acts independently to lead and complete projects with complex objectives
- Understands the relevant accounting principles and effectively communicates findings to peers and business partners.
- Works independently to identify and execute projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency

Basic Qualifications :

• Strong English language oral and written skills

• Any graduate/ PG with specialization in finance/accounting required

• Fluency in Microsoft Excel is a must; SQL, Microsoft Access, Oracle Financials and Cognos is a plus

• 8+ years of relevant finance experience

• Advanced analytical skills and an ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

• Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills

Preferred Qualifications :

• MBA degree is preferred
Any graduate/ PG with specialization in finance/accounting required

• Fluency in Microsoft Excel is a must; SQL, Microsoft Access, Oracle Financials and Cognos is a plus
