**Group Assistant Accountant**

THE COMPANY...
We are currently recruiting for a Group Assistant Accountant to join a successful manufacturing business outside York. The purpose of the role is to take responsibility for processing and reconciling all transactions, preparing month end and year end accounts for internal review and external audit. This role is also key to supporting the Group treasury function.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...
- Generating various invoices
- Processing supplier invoices through Excel and importing to Excel
- Processing weekly payment run summaries
- Maintaining the Group Fixed Asset Register
- Completing payment of supplier invoices on a weekly and adhoc basis
- Preparing and submission of monthly VAT returns
- Reconciling supplier and customer statements
- Monitoring aged debts

YOU MUST...
- Have relevant experience in a similar role
- Have experience working with Microsoft Excel including Data Filters and Pivot Tables
- Be self-motivated and organised
- Have experience with accounting software packages
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Be AAT qualified, ACCA or CIMA part qualified, or QBE
