This is a fantastic opportunity to join the IT Service Delivery Team and become a key member of the management team, building on your excellent team leadership and management skills in an IT environment.As Service Operations Team Leader your primary role will be to Lead the IT Access Management Team and ensure that Service is delivered to industry best practice and contractual Service Level Agreements.You will support the IT Service Operations Manager in delivering a clear operational strategy and continual service improvement whilst contributing towards the design and delivery of the overall IT Service Management Strategy.This is an exciting time to be joining the team as we embark on a transformational journey, focusing on the full Service Lifecycle from Service Strategy, through Design, Transition and Operation. You'll have opportunities to support the team as it works through various stages of the project in preparation for formal launch in 2018.Job Specification
Lead, manage, coach, motivate and develop direct reports so that they know what is expected.Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and service providers to ensure efficient and effective delivery of Group IT services.Identify and manage risks, trends and issues in Group IT to facilitate solutions and continuous improvement in line with Group Risk Strategy frameworks.Lead and facilitate the implementation of people management practices, including talent and succession planning, engagement and ways of working.Promote and manage proactive and continuous improvement aligned to the IT Service Management strategy.Review, attest, communicate and enforce robust IT Operational policies, processes and procedures that are understood by internal and external stakeholders.Act as escalation point and decision maker for IT Service operational issues raised by either internal or external stakeholders.Deliver short term / one-off projects and activities as required by and to the standards and outcomes agreed with Line Manager.Person SpecificationStrong Leadership and Team Management skillsInterpersonal, influencing and communication skillsPeople coaching/mentoring skillsQualifications/OtherA minimum of 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English Language is required
