Our client protects millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. Their members rely on them to look after their pensions if their employers collapse and the pension schemes cannot afford to pay what they promised.

They're equivalent in size to a top 5 UK pension scheme and have developed a highly sophisticated, best-in-class investment strategy. Their culture combines private sector standards with a public service ethos.

They are looking for an Investment Accountant to join their team that will contribute to all financial accounting and control aspects of the Investment function.

The role will be involved with the reconciliation and administration of their investment portfolios, investigating and providing analysis on daily performance reporting by reviewing the custody accounting data and also reviewing and understanding the fund manager expenses being posted by the custodian. The role will additionally be working with the Custodian and outsourced middle / back office to reconcile internally managed cash and stock positions on a daily basis using Aladdin, investigating any breaks.

They are looking for an individual that understands investment valuation techniques and relevant accounting standards, their experience would have been gained working within an Asset Manager dealing with various investment types (e.g. fixed income and equities) and that experience will be within the NAV / profit and loss environment. They are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, Excel skills to a model development standard and previous use of Aladdin and Bloomberg.

Sound like you? Apply now.

In return for your skills, experience and commitment they'll give you a challenging role within a business where you'll get the support you need to develop your career.

You'll also get an outstanding rewards package which includes a discretionary bonus scheme, private medical insurance, health cash plan, critical illness insurance, holiday trading, volunteering leave and a choice of generous defined benefit or defined contribution pension scheme.

Our client is a Disability Confident Employer. If you have a disability and meet the essential criteria for this role you will be guaranteed an interview.

They embrace diverse talent welcoming people with different beliefs, backgrounds and ways of working, and they aim to create an environment in which everyone can be themselves.

They are a flexible organisation and welcome the opportunity to talk about what arrangements may work best for you.
