An AAT qualified Accounts Assistant with practice experience is required for a growing accountancy practice, they are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join a small friendly team. The successful candidate will be confident in assisting with the accounting and tax requirements for SME's.

Main Job Role:

* Preparing statutory accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships, Individuals, Trusts and Charities

* Preparing monthly and quarterly bookkeeping files as required, this includes analysing manual records and reconciling control accounts

* Preparing quarterly VAT returns

* Preparing corporation tax computations and corporation tax returns

* Preparing personal tax computations and personal tax returns

* Liaising with H M Revenue & Customs and Companies House on behalf of clients

* Assisting with adhoc duties including general administrative tasks where required

* Reporting direct to the manager/partner. All work to be reviewed by the manager/partner

Key Skills and Experience:

* AAT Qualified (minimum)

* Accountancy practice experience is essential (2 years minimum)

* CCH (training will be given), Sage Line 50 (essential) and Microsoft Excel (essential)

* Full UK Driving Licence - may occasionally be required to travel to 2 other office's in Northants

* Well organised

* Good written and verbal communication skills

* Attention to detail

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team



Salary:
£18-23,500 depending on experience
