Payroll Officer
Our Nottingham based client is currently recruiting for a payroll office to join their team on a permanent basis
Location:
NG17
Hours: 37.5 per week
Days: Monday - Friday
Salary:
£23k - £25k
Main duties /
responsibilities:
To process weekly payroll amendments including starters, leavers
To process attachment of earnings.
To collate and input weekly payroll data including T&A records and expenses.
To process maternity and paternity leave payments.
To process transactions relating to salary sacrifice schemes.
To upload weekly and monthly pension reports
To deal with enquiries from employees, management and external contacts
To maintain up to date and comprehensive guidance notes on payroll procedureExperience Required:
Have recent applied experience of running a large computerised payroll
Detailed knowledge of payroll systems, taxation, national insurance and pensions administration
Be highly numerate with the ability to understand and accurately process a variety of calculations
Good understanding of accounting principles and their application to payroll
Excellent IT skills including the use of databases, and advanced Word and Excel.
Good oral and written communication skills,
Attention to detail, excellent time management and organisational skills
