The Role

Our client is looking for a Commercial Analyst / Business Partner to join their finance team. This is a newly created role and a very exciting time to join an expanding business.

The client has an abundance of data stored in SQL databases. This rich source of data is the focal point for creating financial models and reports. The data is currently underutilised, models require development, plus more complex and insightful reports need building.

Candidates must have previously worked with similar sized data sets and a track record of developing financial models / reporting capability that has helped drive growth and efficiency within a previous employer. Their experience will mean they arrive with ideas and solutions for the task at hand.

Stakeholder engagement is key to this role. An ability to engage a wide audience is essential, this position will be liaising with Directors and various stakeholders regularly, providing analysis and insight to influence decision making.

A key requirement of this role is to become the "go to" person for all IT reporting & associated process improvements.

Background

The client is anticipating candidates will be qualified although this is not essential requirement for the role. Part qualified candidates and qualified by experience candidates will also be considered. Candidates must have experience operating in a similar role and level. Commercial Analyst and Business Partnering experience is essential.

Systems - Expert knowledge of Excel is essential, with demonstrable expertise in complicated financial modelling and associated Excel processes. Must be able to extract data from SQL databases and build detailed reports and models in Excel. Experience of Sage 200 a bonus.
