We're the Pension Protection Fund. We protect millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. Our members rely on us to look after their pensions if their employers collapse and the pension schemes cannot afford to pay what they promised.

We're equivalent in size to a top 5 UK pension scheme and have developed a highly sophisticated, best-in-class investment strategy. Our culture combines private sector standards with a public service ethos.

We are looking for an Investment Accountant to join our team that will contribute to all financial accounting and control aspects of the PPF Investment function.

The role will be involved with the reconciliation and administration of the PPFs investment portfolios, investigating and providing analysis on daily performance reporting by reviewing the custody accounting data and also reviewing and understanding the fund manager expenses being posted by the custodian. The role will additionally be working with the Custodian and outsourced middle / back office to reconcile internally managed cash and stock positions on a daily basis using Aladdin, investigating any breaks.

We are looking for an individual that understands investment valuation techniques and relevant accounting standards, their experience would have been gained working within an Asset Manager dealing with various investment types (e.g. fixed income and equities) and that experience will be within the NAV / profit and loss environment. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, Excel skills to a model development standard and previous use of Aladdin and Bloomberg.

In return for your skills, experience and commitment we'll give you a challenging role within a business where you'll get the support you need to develop your career.
