This established firm of Solicitors seeks an experienced Finance Manager with a background with a previous firm of solicitors. Reporting to the senior Partners, you will manage the finance function on a day to day basis, duties will include:


• reviewing current procedures and looking for improvements

• Month-end reporting - unbilledWIP/Billings/Aged Debtors/Payments/Receipts

• Preparing monthly management reports

• Preparing VAT reports

• Processing VAT payments

• Inputting of all financial transactions for both office and client a/c in accordance with SAR rules

• Producing WIP reports

• Liaising with Partners/fee earners/office administrator regarding placing funds on special interest bearing accounts

• Accounting for interest on deposit accounts and carrying out account closures

• Liaising with the bank on account queries - deposits, cheque queries and transfers

• Assisting the office administrator

• Updating the partners daily of cash flow position

• Knowledge of how to deal with residual balances

• Knowledge of SARs
