Accounts & Tax Accountant

£35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for an Account & Tax Accountant to join an established and growing accountancy practice in the Brighton & Hove area on a permanent basis.

The position is due to growth and development of the practice. The position will offer the opportunity to take the next step and further your accounting career.

Your duties will include:

• Preparation of Annual Financial Statements under FRS102 and FRS105
• Managing a portfolio of clients from sole traders, limited companies and partnership
• Dealing with the preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returns.
• Providing bookkeeping for clients
• Self assessments
• To manage the tax compliance matters of a varied portfolio of clients including personal tax clients, corporation tax clients, partnerships and trusts
• Build a rapport and maintain regular contact with clients by telephone. Email, letter and in person
• Dealing with HMRC

Key Requirements:

• Ideally ACCA or ACA Qualified or nearly qualified
• Previous working experience from an accountancy practice background
