Grafton Banks Finance are working with a growing insurance business in West Sussex to recruit a newly created Senior Group Accountant role.

As part of a high calibre group finance function this role develop and execute the financial and regulatory accounting for the group and its subsidiaries and will take ownership of complex accounting reviews as a result of regulatory and accounting policy changes.

To be considered for this role you must be a qualified accountant who is technically and experienced in group or financial accounting roles in the insurance industry.

Key

responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and preparation of the annual statutory and quarterly regulatory reporting obligations of the group.

• Be the recognised expert for the consolidation process of the groups close cycle.

• Review and maintain controls in place for the preparation and integrity of the company's

  direct and indirect tax returns.

• Provide technical accounting guidance on changes to regulatory and accounting policies.

• Maintain and design the groups operating accounting policy.

• Challenge and recommend changes in accounting approach to ensure higher quality monthly financial reporting and allow better performance insight for the commercial and operating units of the business.

This role will offer flexibility to work from home although you will ideally be situated in a commutable distance from the clients Sussex offices.
