Senior Qualified Practice Accountant

Salary £28,000- £37,000 dependant on experience

Full time - Flexible hours considered

Due to expansion our client is looking for a Qualified Senior Accountant to join their growing and friendly team. They are a practice, based in Huddersfield have, that have a strong ethos around staff well-being and customer service. They are looking for someone who will share this outlook and grow and develop with the practice. This role could suit someone who has worked in a larger practice environment and now would like to work in a smaller close-knit supportive team.

Clients are all SMEs who appreciate the more personal touch, they range from start-up businesses to companies of around £10 million turnover, from varying sectors but many are from digital, construction and manufacturing

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of accounts and Corporation Tax Returns
• Personal Tax Returns and Tax advice
• Giving strategic tax advice to clients
• Preparation of management accounts for clients
• Answering client queries and client meetings
• Assisting junior members of the teams with their queries
• Mentoring and supporting apprentices
• Desirable to have R&D Tax experience

Attributes

• Excellent time keeping and organisation
• Excellent communication and the ability to instil confidence in clients
• Experience of SAGE, XERO and ideally a variety of accounts software
• Ability to work in a busy environment and meet multiple deadlines required
• Previous Practice experience required.
• Enthusiasm for self -development and gaining a range of experience

Hours

• 5 days per week
• Possibility of 1 day per week remote working
• Flexi-time available
