Objective HR are currently recruiting for a Top 50 Firm of Chartered Accountants based in Yeovil who are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team.

As part of the outsourcing team you will be responsible for maintaining records, preparing VAT returns and management accounts for a portfolio of SME clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
* Processing sales and purchase invoices (manually and using auto-entry software)
* Preparation of bank and credit card reconciliations
* Processing basic monthly journals
* Preparation of VAT returns
* Preparation of client management accounts
* Attending client meetings
* Comply with internal procedures for setting up new clients
* Contacting clients in a professional manner to make basic requests for information
* Manage a small portfolio of clients as appropriate
* Attend meetings with more senior members of staff and take notes
The Ideal Candidate:
* AAT part qualified / qualified
* Double entry bookkeeping knowledge
* Competent at using bookkeeping software such as Xero/Sage
* 2 years experience within a UK based Accountancy Practice.
* A basic understanding of accounts
