Agora Talent are working with a well-known consumer focused organisation that has grown year on year.

Due to the sustained growth of the business we are searching for an Interim Financial Accountant to support an already high-calibre and well-established team in building a future-proof finance function with robust controls and processes at its core.

Sitting within the EMEA Financial Accounting team for 3-6 months, you would be assisting the Financial Accountant Manager in maintaining, preparing and reporting on the general ledger for all EMEA entities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and reporting on the EMEA ledgers in accordance with group and statutory accounting requirements.
  • Assisting with the implementation of internal controls for month end processes to keep up with the growth of the business.
  • Delivering on month end within set deadlines.
  • Collaborating with finance teams across the business to review ledgers and meet group period end deadlines.
  • Accurately preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations to a high standard.
  • Assisting with the interim and year end audit process with preparation of information for external auditors.
  • Identifying any issue, risks or opportunities for EMEA and the group.
  • Striving to create efficiencies in day to day working practices and exploring better ways of working within the EMEA Finance Team.
  • Assisting the wider finance team and on any other ad hoc projects as required.

About You:

  • Immediately available.
  • Finalist or Newly Qualified accountant.
  • General ledger and month end experience (ideally within a group or large company).
  • Experience working with European subsidiaries, multi-currency and multi-site.
  • Good understanding of business structure and the importance of accuracy of nominal
  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics (desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent time management, and organisation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
