Accounts Assistant

We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant in the Coventry area with our well established client.

As an Accounts Assistant you will need to have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Strong IT skills are required including Excel
  • Experience using Sage software
  • Ability to resolve complex debt issues
  • High attention to detail

  • Salary:
    £20,000 per annum
  • Working Hours: Mon-Fri 09:00-18:00

Role of an Accounts Assistant:

  • Credit control, timely and effective collection of all debts and customer payments
  • Attend meeting at the end of each week to discuss debtor report
  • Liaising with sales and operational staff to ensure out-going invoices are correct
  • Answering customer account queries
  • Issuing credit notes
  • Allocating cash receipts against aged debtor
  • Dealing with remittances
  • Assessing the credit worthiness of new and existing customer accounts
  • Reducing aged debtors and minimisation of bad debt risk
  • Reconciliation on a monthly basis with finance team as required
  • Distributing payments
