The key to success in this position is to effectively support the Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Supervisor, to ensure that the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger accounts are maintained within the agreed AEM and Muirhead Aerospace targets.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Process purchase ledger invoices into ERP system
• Ad hoc AP query resolution
• Liaising with suppliers to resolve queries
• Liaising with vendors to confirm bank account/address changes, and updating ERP & banking systems
• Processing new vendors in the ERP System
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Debt chasing
• Cover for AR duties to include: Cash Allocation Release customer orders taking into consideration current debt Processing new customers in the ERP system
• Processing petty cash transactions
• Company credit card processing
• Ad hoc duties to support the finance team
• Liaison with external auditors
• Compliant to Sarbanes-Oxley Act
Qualifications:
• Numerate and literate - minimum 8 GCSE (or equivalent)
• Maths and English need to be grade 4 and aboveExperience:
• Experienced in working within a busy finance department (but not essential)
• General understanding of business administration practice
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Highly proficient in micro soft package & applications, including excelCOMPETENCIES
• Ability to work well in multidiscipline/cross-functional teams
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build close-knit relationships with outside agencies
• Strong analytical, administrative and organisation skills and excellent attention to detail
• Innovative and enthusiastic
• Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and multi-task
• Strong communicator (written and verbal)
• Creative and outgoing
• Well organised and self-motivated
Additional Information: Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary:
Competitive depending on experience
