Accounts Assistant is required to join an established business that is leading in their field, based in Southampton on a permanent basis. The successful Accounts Assistant will be offered flexible working hours, onsite free parking/excellent transport links and the opportunity to work as part of a collaborative and highly supportive team. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for supporting banking, a variety of reconciliations and ownership of the sales ledger.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the following:

• Investigating and resolving invoice and receipt queries
• Reconciliation of multiple bank accounts
• Processing refunds
• Processing of Direct Debit collection files on a monthly basis
• Preparation and distribution of ad-hoc manual sales invoices
• Monthly debt reporting
• Provide cover for teammates

What you will need:

• Experience in one or more of the following roles: Accounts Assistant / Finance Officer / Finance Assistant / Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant / Sales Ledger Clerk / Assistant Accountant / Assistant Financial Accountant
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
