Financial Accountant (first step from practice ACCA / ACA) | £40,000 - £45,000 + suite of benefits (bonus, pension, healthcare) | Spalding

The Opportunity

If you are a recently qualified accountant looking to make the move across to the cut and thrust of industry we would welcome the chance to discuss a new opportunity in the Spalding region of Lincolnshire.

You will work with a large and expanding international group. The role is designed to provide you with a smooth move across to industry - providing the right degree of support and mentoring whilst also allowing you to gain varied and broad experience over the next 12 - 24 months.

The role is a result of internal promotion and you will ideally be someone with career ambition and keenness to learn and develop.

This is a perfect step for someone looking to move from an audit environment into a role that gives you more opportunity to 'see the full picture' and really make a difference. It will involve various financial / group reporting activities, statutory accounting, exposure to forecasting and planning, management accounting and business partnering. There is major scope for career progression which could include overseas secondments for the right candidate over the next 2 - 5 years.

You will work in a talented and highly collaborative team able to provide support and coaching where required. The group invests heavily in employee development and employee satisfaction. You will need:

  • Experience of audit within a professional practice environment.
  • To have recently completed ACCA / ACA (or be close to becoming fully qualified).
  • A proactive and 'can do attitude'
  • A methodical, diligent approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communication skills and keenness to work in a vibrant team environment.
  • Career development ambition.
