If you're an immediately available payroller with experience of ADP Global View or SAP payroll systems, then read on - we've got the role for you.

Here at XPO, we're looking for a Payroll Specialist to join us on a five-month fixed-term contract, based out of our head office in Northampton with the potential for some flexible/home working. Reporting directly into the Payroll Manager, you'll play a key part in ensuring that our day-to-day payroll function runs smoothly and without any hitches.

Pay, benefits and more:

We're looking to offer a competitive salary for this role. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You'll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Support the Payroll Manager in the understanding and documentation of issues and fixes within the current payroll landscape
  • Work alongside the vendor and testing teams to successfully deliver and test requirements
  • Act as a go-to and SME within the wider team, assisting with any complex queries
  • Get involved in all other aspects of payroll management as and when required

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Strong working knowledge of ADP Global View or SAP Payroll
  • A technical understanding of payroll, with the ability to effectively troubleshoot issues and work with large amounts of data
  • The ability to effectively spin multiple plates at any one time whilst still maintaining accuracy and a strong eye for detail
  • The availability and flexibility to start work as soon as possible
