We partner with Arup to support contingent recruitment processes. On behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Finance Assistant for a 3 - 6 contract based in Newcastle / Working from Home

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Industrial placements to join our well-established Finance teams in the Newcastle office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone that is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the sector to join a multi-disciplinary environment for 3 - 6 Months

You will provide support to team members to deliver an effective and professional service to Building, Consulting and Infrastructure Technical Teams. You will assist in:

• completing timesheets and expense claims, providing induction on the software
• Drafting transactional requests, such as draft fee invoices, time and expenses transfers.
• supplier invoice authorisation
• data input to Arup systems, such as CRM
• liaising with Accounts Payable for payment dates for suppliers and/or staff
• general financial housekeeping activity, such as checking dead job numbers.
• corporate credit card claims
• petty cash maintenance and reconciliation

About You

We're looking for someone with curiosity, personal drive and technical knowhow.

We're looking for the following qualifications, attributes and skills:

• Strong A-levels (or equivalent) at Grade B or above
• Studying Business and Finance or equivalent
• On track to achieve a 2.1 or above, as proven through the modules that you have completed to date, or already graduated
• Demonstrate strong motivation and passion for a career in Finance and Project Accounting
