We are looking for an experienced financial controller to join our team in London. The Financial Controller, Assistance Services is a key member of the Global Assistance Business Line finance function and is responsible for ensuring accurate reporting of financial performance, focusing primarily on the Balance Sheet and areas of Compliance. In addition, the FC will provide in-depth analysis and technical support to ensure financial statements are accurate at all times and in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP rules. This role has global responsibility for all entities consolidated within the Assistance Business Line as well as the Assistance Services Products and associated costs within region.

Key

responsibilities:


* Ensure accurate balance sheet reporting through detailed periodic reviews of all legal entities consolidated within the Assistance Business Line.

* Proactively manage the Foreign Exchange exposure across the Assistance Services business units.

* Partner with FC, Working Capital and Treasury on monitoring working capital to ensure cash generation targets are attained and credit is controlled to minimise debt.

* Coordinate the activities associated with periodic audit process for all Assistance Services entities globally.

* Act as technical accounting expert to support finance teams within Assistance BL units globally, Regions and be the point of contact with the Group Finance team for any accounting matters

* Review and continually improve revenue and cost recognition processes, ensure appropriate communication of changes across all departments.

* Directing Assistance BL financial and accounting system controls and standards.

* Standardisation of accounting processes affecting Assistance Business Line

* Oversee Capital Expenditure budgeting for Assistance Business Line, partner with leadership on the execution and tracking of actual spent for all projects affecting Assistance Business line especially around digitalization of our services

* Perform ad-hoc analysis and lead projects upon request from CFO Global Assistance Services including direct support to sub-locations as required (Product Engineering, Assistance HQ), due diligence for future acquisitions and transformational projects such as process re-engineering, accounting centralization in shared services, restructuring of entities or change in accounting standards.

Required skills and experience

* Proven experience of regional financial controllership responsibility or equivalent, preferably in a multi-national organization with a budget of at least US$100 million.

* Experience in a fast pace, multi-national organisation, ideally within the professional services industry.

* Previous exposure to international and cross cultural matrix environments

* Big 4 Accounting Firm auditor background (preferred)

* Relationship building skills across a large, diverse and global people business.

* Ability and willingness to operate at both a strategic and tactical level in a highly complex environment.

* Exposure to all aspects of the Finance function, including accounting, financial analysis and management/statutory reporting
