Payroll/Finance Officer | Shropshire | 6-month contract| Monday to Friday | Excellent Salary (IRO £30,000 p/a) and Benefits

The Company

A reputable and leading employer are seeking to recruit a capable payroll and finance officer to join their organisation in a contract job role.

The Opportunity

As Payroll Officer, you will work within an established team and will be accountable for:


• Processing monthly payroll


• Processing statutory payments and deductions


• Pensions administration and reconciliations


• Supporting with time and attendance and weekly payrolls, overseeing junior staff


• Providing a confidential service to employees at all levels


• Submission of year end P35, P14, P60 and P11D doc's


• Supporting with bookkeeping tasks for the accountant

The Individual

A proven track record working in payroll. CIPP qualification is desirable; in lieu of this experience of working in an end to end payroll position within the last 2 years will be considered. Knowledge and experience of recent/current legislation is paramount. You will act as a point of escalation for junior staff so should keep abreast of changing legislation/tax liabilities.

Experience working in a demanding and busy payroll team is a must. We are looking for a capable and dedicated payroll/finance professional.
