About the Company:

NICCE requires an experienced Credit Controller to undertake a challenging sole charge role with responsibility for the management of all customer debt.

About the Credit Controller Role:

Reporting to the Finance Manger & FD. The Credit Controller will be responsible for building relations and chasing all outstanding payments for a portfolio of high value corporate clients and small independents.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the collection of all outstanding monies to ensure monthly targets are met
  • Checking and sending out customer invoices
  • Weekly and monthly accounts receivable reporting to the management
  • Participate in weekly cash collection review and operations team meetings
  • Customer reconciliations for the accounts receivable ledger
  • Conducting credit checks and setting credit limits for new and existing clients and keep them updated
  • Resolution of customer queries and disputes
  • Completion of bank reconciliations & invoice discounting reconciliations
  • Preparation and sending customer account statements
  • Maintain accurate records within the customer database
  • Preparation of other ad-hoc reports

Credit Controller Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' relevant experience
  • Proven track record within debt collection in UK and Europe, ideally within a sole charge or supervisory role
  • Ideally you will have experience or working within multi-national corporate environment with exposure to finance outside of Credit Control
  • Strong communicator
  • Ability to build strong customer relations
  • Demonstrate a firm but diplomatic approach
  • Aptitude for IT and accounting systems
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
