We believe that excellence can be achieved through a dynamic culture driven by collaboration and teamwork.In May 2020, we completed a $150m Series B funding round, tripling our valuation to $5.5bn.About the roleCheckout.com is actively looking for an enthusiastic and agile Reconciliation Reporting Lead to join our growing Central Finance Team in London.Working as part of our Central Finance function, you will oversee the Reconciliation Reporting Team with the reconciliation of Card Schemes remittance to Checkout.com's domestic and international bank accounts and translate this into functional data for the management accounts team.The ideal candidate will possess management experience, be a driven, inquisitive, dedicated and highly organised individual, not shying away from high volume work but also able to see the "bigger picture". Responsibilities:
Oversee the Reconciliation Reporting Team to ensure the daily calculations are performed in a timely manner and according to the relevant regulatory requirementsReviewing bank recs on a daily basis for multiple bank accounts for accuracy and completenessReview daily journals to the Management Accounts TeamIdentify discrepancies, the root causes and take action to eliminate / prevent In futureAssisting in the global statutory audit processParticipate actively in project work and product development initiatives often as project owner or leadContinually look at ways of building-up on processes, improving reconciliation robustness and introducing controlsAbout You:Bachelor Degree in Economics, Accounting or equivalent with a strong academic recordPart qualified ACA/ACCA and studying towards completion, with FinTech or Financial Services experience (AAT qualified also considered)Highly numerate, with strong analytical skills and ability to work through problems logicallyExcellent knowledge of Excel (Formulae, Pivot tables, Reference functions), Powerquery experience an advantageExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate with all levelsSome management experience, working one on one or with a small teamMotivated to find end-to-end solutions and work cross-functionally and with remote teamsHighly motivated and able to work towards tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced work environmentKnowledge of card schemes, alternative payment methods and payment solutionsWe are always looking for great people so if you don't see a role here that fits you but you want to work with us, please send us your CV and a cover letter explaining the kind of role you are searching for and we will contact you.Checkout.com is an equal opportunities employer.
