We are seaking a Financial Accounts, o lead on all financial and statutory accounting whilst maintaining up to date knowledge of accounting standards, including foreign exchange hedge accounting. The role will include managing the External and Group internal audit, and liaise with internal finance and business teams to provide auditors' requirements



Key responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of audited statutory financial statements.
  • Manage Corporation Tax queries and R&D tax credit application
  • Recommending and implementing improvements in financial controlling and reporting environment
  • Manage cost centres and perform month end duties in relation to this, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, forecasting and reporting to internal stakeholders and be an active business partner
  • Supporting the FD and finance team of adhoc projects and tasks



Skills/Experience

  • Professional qualified accountant, preferably ACA/ACCA
  • Basic knowledge of foreign exchange hedge accounting and corporation tax accounting
  • Experience in financial accounting environment with good working knowledge of financial accounting to statutory accounts level
  • Strong understanding of Corporation compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills, including ability to communicate effectively at all levels within VAX and with external stakeholders, and attention to detail and drive to personally succeed.
