Payroll Analyst
Job Description:
Do you have UK payroll experience, and perhaps even some exposure to overseas payroll, ideally gained from within a large business? If so, then we want to hear from you!
Our client, a leading Asset Management firm based in Edinburgh is looking for a Payroll Analyst to join their team on an initial 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Wide-ranging experience of working within a Payroll function with proven organisational and numerical skills
- Ability to relate to staff at all levels within the business, with strong customer service skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to co-ordinate and manage multiple tasks and projects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and the ability to see tasks through to completion
- Proven discretion and reliability
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Exposure to overseas payroll
- Qualified Payroll Professional
Core
Responsibilities:
- Payroll and pension administration for all Group entities (and Investment Trusts)
- Prepare and assist with monthly payroll figures and quarterly salary analysis
- Ensuring commentary against analysis is clear and appropriate
- Keeping technically up to date and ensuring that payroll is accurately reflected in the accounting records as per the accounting standards applied
- Prepare and assist with payroll reconciliations
- Ensure that the delegated relationships with payroll service providers and advisors are well maintained and working effectively
- Responsible and assist with new staff induction and employee enquiries
- Assist with continuous improvement work in the payroll area
- Keep procedures up to date
- Provide cover and support for other team members
