Senior Management Accountant

Management Accountant to report on multiple sites / business units. Up to £36,000 (study package available)

Hays Accountancy & Finance are pleased to be working exclusively with this Colchester-based organisation who due to genuine business growth are looking for an experienced senior management accountant to report on various business units across the UK.

Your new role
In this newly created management accountant job you will be responsible for producing detailed management accounts covering accurals, pre-payments, analysis of income and of course explanation of actual spend vs budget as well forecasting etc. You will also use your advanced excel skills to reconcile numerous accounts, balance sheet and produce profit & loss reports for all aspects of this complex business. The role also requires you to maintain the fixed asset register and produce VAT returns as well as working closely with the credit controllers in cash flow forecasting.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a confident management accountant who can demonstrate experience in producing management accounts for various business units / legal entities prior to group consolidation. You will have strong in-depth analysis skills, be confident to question the data and be able to articulate your findings to senior management as well as non-finance budget holders. As an experienced finance professional we expect you to have excellent reconciliation skills and be able to work closely with external auditors to ensure all financial statements etc. meet the relevant standards.

What you'll get in return
The organisation offers a competitive salary package of up to £36,000 and study support is available (depending on experience) but they will also consider individuals who are qualified by experience provided you have the relevant experience on multi-site reporting.
