One of the largest financial services company in South Africa has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pricing Analyst to be based in Johannesburg

Job Purpose

Responsible for the annual validation of the assumptions of the model as well as its redevelopment to ensure that business remains competitive and adequately priced.

Job Responsibilities

• Knowledge and understanding of the key parameters of modelling which include, but are not limited to cure pay, cure settle, LGD, default and attrition as well as balances which are used to determine the profitability (RoRAC) and influence net interest income (NII).
• Drive development and implementation of solutions, ensuring client satisfaction and profitability.
• Ensure product, process and pricing enhancements align to pricing strategy.
• Review and input into business case documents, business requirements specifications and testing.
• Assist with revenue tracking.
• Research as required for input to project documents, review and give input to business cases, advise and consult regarding relevant products and revenue driving initiatives
• Understanding of financial statements as the model is validated against key line items in the income statement
• Enhance business efficiencies and ensure compliance through formal communications and interacting with external bodies.
• Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Company Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).
• Research and make recommendations for corporate citizenship initiatives in area of influence
• Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy
• Ensure product and/or solution design is congruent with the required business specifications through meeting stakeholder requirements timeously.
• Ensure continuity and record keeping through formal sign-off at forums and by creating documentation.
• Ensure business process consistency through formal communication; updating and maintaining policies.
• Ensure accuracy and feasibility through impact analysis for newly developed products.

Minimum Experience & Qualifications required

• 3-5 years relevant experience in an analytical and/or financial environment
• Bachelor of Science/ Post Graduate Degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Finance, CFA/ FRM
• Candidates who have built/validated NPV models may be suited to this role as their abilities and skills may be adapted.
• SAS skill is required
