ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will partner with the Sales & Customer Development teams to provide all aspects of analysis across customers & channels to ensure profitable growth and strategic decision making; additionally, you will develop financial models, transform data into actionable insights, and identify paths to improve the overall planning and forecasting process.




Responsibilities:


  • Provide actionable insights to the Sales & Customer Development teams and deliver financial commitments, ensure accurate forecasts, identify risks/opportunities, and evaluate customer profitability
  • Advance customer P&L's and associated reporting needed to communicate customer results against plan
  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting of actuals and variance analysis for the management team
  • Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives
  • Support overall customer investment, including trade investment, deductions, returns and other customer driven allowances
  • Partner with customer teams to improve periodic sales and trade estimates, through insightful questions and analysis
  • Support Finance leadership in delivering Profitable Revenue Growth Management and capabilities by driving new processes, tools, and insights
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership and Sales leadership to highlight customer investment opportunities and efficiencies
  • Assist with pre-spend and post-spend promotional analytics to drive higher ROI and margin delivery
  • Provide timely and accurate analytics to support actionable and strategic business decisions
  • Develop presentations on relevant operating and financial metrics in an easy-to-understand format for the business to use in driving well informed decision making
  • Ad hoc financial analysis (Business case evaluation, pricing reviews, etc.)


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis or major in the field of accounting or finance; MBA preferred
  • 4+ years in a Finance position in a mid to large consumer goods business
  • Experience working within a customer/sales finance team; understanding of go-to-market trade strategies in a CPG organization
  • Exceptional financial acumen: analytical, financial modeling and reporting skills required
  • High proficiency with MS Excel & PowerPoint or GSuite tools
  • Team player, upbeat, and focused, with a strong passion to learn and succeed
  • High bias for action and results focused
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and taking initiative to make confident and well-informed decisions
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels in an organization
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Knowledge of and enthusiasm for the toy industry is a plus
  • Experience using BI tools, Tableau preferred
