Copart UK Limited is a critical outsource partner to all the UK motor insurance companies, providing essential services that relate to the UK transport infrastructure by collecting, transporting and storing accident damaged vehicles. Copart is also intrinsic to the waste management, recycling and disposal of end of life vehicles which has been deemed critical and therefore are able to remain fully operational whilst ensuring social distancing measures at met, during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

The Finance Department is key for the business, the teams within Finance liaise with Suppliers, Sellers and Buyers as well as other internal departments across the business. The Finance Department is responsible for an array of processes and provides support and insight to help the business continue to grow.

As an Assistant Decision Support Analyst, you'll help support the growth of the business through providing key reports, management information and analytical support to teams across all areas of the business.

You must have strong attention to detail, be good at problem-solving with an analytical mind, a high level of organisation and be able to work on your own initiative.

Your key responsibilities as an Assistant Decision Support Analyst will include:

  • Providing specified reports to internal and external customers throughout each month, in line with the reporting schedule
  • Supporting month-end reporting processes, producing robust reports with variances that are well understood and communicated
  • Providing analytical support to the business throughout the month on ad-hoc projects / as required
  • Working closely with Business Analysts in the team to develop or improve reporting processes and to deliver reports that are insightful and add value to the business
  • Providing support/cover to the Business Analysts where required

Essential Skills

  • Highly numerate
  • Highly computer literate - can demonstrate excellent Excel skills

  • A level or equivalent in a business-relevant subject, e.g. Finance, Business Studies, Maths, Economics etc
