£27,000 - £28000 per annum plus performance-based profit share scheme

Hours: 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday - although will consider flexible hours

Company Overview:

The Company provides manned guarding, mobile patrol and keyholding services to commercial and residential properties across the South of England. They operate from The Old Courthouse in High Wycombe that previously the County Police Station. They have an excellent team and work closely with each other to provide a first-class service to their customers and they are now looking for a new member.

Role Overview:

They are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. Accounting Clerk responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports, producing management accounts and reconciling bank statements. You should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers. Ultimately, you will ensure that the company's daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.



Responsibilities:


Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounts department
Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
Reconcile management accounts in a timely manner each month
Preparation of accounts for annual audit
Recurring monthly invoicing for contracted work
Develop relationships with customer account departments to aid the collection of monies
Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
Provide assistance and support to the Managing Director
Control and forecast of cashflow
Reconcile monthly balance sheet controls
Quarterly VAT returns
National statistic returns
Monthly invoicing for contracted work
Daily enter key data of financial transactions in Sage
Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
Compile reports/summaries on activity areas
Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
Constantly update job knowledgeThe Candidate:

Bookkeeping: 2 years (Preferred)
Accounting: 2 years (Preferred)Skills Required:

Proven accounting experience
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers
Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
Data entry and word processing skills
Well organized
Ability to work with Sage 50 Accounts software
Excellent telephone manner and customer service
